Copenhagen, Denmark – CellPoint Digital, the leading payment orchestrator, has appointed Michael Sørensen as its new Head of Tech Operations. In this role, Sørensen will lead the technical operation and oversee all aspects of CellPoint's global infrastructure.
Sørensen brings over 30 years of extensive experience in IT leadership, software development, and infrastructure management. He joins CellPoint Digital from Nordea Bank, where he most recently served as Payments Engineering Lead. Prior to that, he held various senior technology roles at major financial services and technology companies, including BEC, VERIMI, SDC, NETS, and UNIBET.

As Head of Tech Operations, Sørensen will oversee CellPoint's IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, software development, and technology roadmap execution. A key part of his role will involve leading strategic modernisation initiatives to ensure CellPoint maintains its position as an innovative leader in global payments technology.
